The kidneys of her did not heal when she contracted an infection with septicae and eventually suffered several organ malfunctions. The process of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis later was her new norm. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital, Angelica was almost dead but was on the road towards recovery. Angelica's entire life was altered after her dialysis for kidneys. It was her own mother who would donate the kidney. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica as well as her mother underwent the successful transplantation of their kidney at two remarkable hospitals right across from one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be a superstar has never wavered.
